These Lemon Cookies are a crowd pleaser in my house (and amongst all my friends). I never go a Christmas without whipping up a batch (or sending these off to school to spread a bit of cheer at the beginning of the year).

This one is probably my favorite cookie recipe of all time. Be sure to save this!

Lemon Cookie. 

4oz cream cheese

1 1/2 sticks butter

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

3 1/2 cups flour

30 drops lemon essential oil (YES. 3-0)

Powdered sugar

Set oven to 350. Cream together cream cheese, butter & sugars. Add lemon, vanilla & eggs. In a separate bowl mix together dry ingredients (baking soda, baking powder & flour). Add to wet mixture & mix well.

Bake 9-10 min.

Don’t over bake! These are perfectly moist. Be sure to take them out of the oven before they brown. Keep a close eye on them. Powder sugar the tops shortly after they come out of the oven.
